- 1950

Option 4 : 1950

**Given: **

The shopkeeper allows two successive discounts of 25% and 20%.

The percentage of mark up price of an item = 30%

The cost price of an item = Rs. 2500

**Formula used:**

CP[(100 + Mark up %)/100] = MP

Here, CP = Cost price and MP = Market price

**Calculation**

We used formula,

CP[(100 + Mark up %)/100] = MP

⇒ 2500 × (130/100) = MP

⇒ MP = 3250

Now,

SP = 3250 × (75/100) × (80/100) = Rs. 1950

Hence, Selling price = Rs. 1950

**∴ The selling price of an item is Rs. 1950.**
