Does this scoring count baby-selling as conservative or liberal?
It looks like the dark red line for the 112th Senate is above zero on the y-axis at Posner’s spot on the x-axis. Why is that, if the most moderate Republican Senator (Snowe) “is about 0.05 units to the right of Posner,” as it says in Poole’s post?
Erik, I imagine it’s because the line is smoothed, but that may not be entirely correct.
