More over at Gallup.  The figure among whites is 84%.  Among those 65 and older, it is 66%.

Would have been interesting to see the disapprove results (which I didn’t find over at the Gallup report too) to see what has happened to the percentage of people who feel comfortable telling an interview they actually disapprove. My guess is that the ratio of “no answer” to “disapprove” has also increased over time.

Flatlines in the early 90s because of OJ Simpson and than takes off because of secular decreases in crime and Clinton’s Welfare Reform.
