[Above] is the text of an open letter sent to President Obama, cc’d to Gene Sperling, Chief of Staff Daley, USTR Ron Kirk, Larry Summers, Austan Goolsbee, Joe Biden, Paul Volcker, Bob Hormats and Lael Brainard, encouraging renewed leadership to bring the Doha Round of negotiations at the WTO to a conclusion. It was sent today.
Signatories include former trade and commerce ministers from around the world, an ex-President or two, and eminent trade economists including Jagdish Bhagwati and others.
