Spanking is ok, genetics not so much.

How about adding a second sentence to this post:

“Spanking is ok, genetics not so much. But still one of the best colleges for producing future political scientists”

To give just a partial list: Paul Kellstedt (Texas A&M), Luke Keele (Penn State), and Cory Smidt (Michigan State) are Calvin College alumni.

I’m not saying each of them would support the college (in general or specifically on these issues). But a college’s track record is more than just a few headlines. And Calvin’s track record in poli sci is far better than most colleges.

Maybe spanking is good for research productivity.
