World Rankings in Politics and International Studies

- July 5, 2011

Since we all love rankings, here are the new world rankings of universities in Politics and International studies, released by QS. Below is the top ten. Clearly, the only worthwhile universities are in the anglo-saxon world. NYU is at 20 and Georgetown at 23. GW is in the 50-100 range. If your university does better here than in the NRC rankings, I strongly recommend that in conversations with deans, provosts and future employers you highlight the watertight methodology used here and the global comparison. If not, then not. Even better, with this site you can calculate your own personalized ranking!

1 Harvard University, United States
2 University of Oxford, United Kingdom
3 University of Cambridge, United Kingdom
4 London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), United Kingdom
5 University of California, Berkeley (UCB), United States
6 Yale University, United States
7 Stanford University, United States
8 Columbia University, United States
9 Princeton University, United States
10 Australian National University, Australia
