Gallup has a new poll out today showing that 46% of the country favors repealing the Healthcare Law, while 40% oppose doing so. This is, naturally exciting news. However, I want to again draw attention to these numbers from the Kaiser Health Tracking Poll that I posted two months ago when Americans favored repealing part or all of healthcare reform by an even larger margin (49-40) but the very same respondents did not support repealing any of the individual parts of healthcare reform about which they were asked save for the mandate requiring people to purchase health insurance.
Now this was two months ago, which of course can be an eternity in politics, but given the similarity in the headline numbers, I’m guessing these haven’t changed to much either. Anyone with more recent data in this regard, please fee free to share in the comments.

This is of course because of the combination of GOP lies and massive media failure to explain health care as more than a horse race.
